Back in the day when all people could make was shitty turned based stuff and tab target games, and WoW came out with the tab targeting game, it was a big hit. The MMORPG genre is super easy to succeed in because it doesn't have an actual big player. The fact is, the MMORPG Genre, is in desperate need of something good, where people put actual thought into it's creation, there are so many bad MMOs, but I can't think of 1 that I can say is still good, or even mediocre! They're all awful, because the idiots making them don't play MMOs, they don't know what they are doing. I was barely even trying to hit stuff, just looking in someone's general direction I was binding them with vines. I remember in BnS I played the weird healer class that had that used vines when I tried it out. These are both untrue, yes there is a lot more action MMOs now, but they all fail to be what one wants from it, they lack impact, customization (stats/skill wise) and they all take an easy way out when it comes to implementing moves. In Multiverse even if you get big numbers it feels like your hitting the opponent with a pool noodle, but not even hitting them, more like sliding the noodle across their body to do damage. This issue exists in Smash vs Multiverse right now, people will say Multiverse feels more "fluid" but is that a good thing? You hit someone in smash and you feel like you hit them, like there is weight behind the attack. When you attack someone in Tera, you feel the hit, in the other 2, you kind of just feel like you phase through them, they may feel the hit a little due to stagger but in general there is no impact to it. QPONICUS says he feels Tera combat is not good because of animation lock.īoth of these comments are talking about the same thing, but the thing is, it is that animation lock that makes Tera feel so much better than Elyon and BDO. Rather than quoting and starting arguments I will just mention a few posts here. However seeing this thread makes it easy to see why. It wasn't even close to being on the level of Tera. Honestly it was a disappointment of a game.
